Sunset in Tennessee – Here we go with the long-awaited boozy fragrance. What do you think when you hear Tennessee? For many whiskey ofcourse but Tennesse offers so much more. Tennessee is the birthplace of Elvis Presley!! , origin of Mountain Dew soda in the 1930s, famous parks and crazy bbq places. So let me show you my vision of this place.
Oakwood co2 is the star of this composition ,with 2 distinctive extractions. One from used, smoked oak barrels (utilised for smoked whiskey) with the rich aroma of expensive smoked whiskey infused with a hint of old books paper and resinous deep woody nuances. The second oakwood brings a sweet woody warmth with the notes of honey and vanilla bourboun in the drydown.
How can i implement Elvis in this story? Put him in a bottle? I can’t of course, but i captured his essence by using rosewood and mahogany essential oils, woods often used in crafting guitars. For the Mountain Dew effect, I added a little fizzy citrussy top note balanced with beeswax and propolis.
Back to the heart of the composition, a special cedarwood absolute (this is not the familiar cedarwood of Atlas or Virginia esential oil). It is a dried fruits and moist woody smelling absolute. Tobacco absolute, from the leaves, not the flowers, joins the composition, along with maple, guaiacwood, gurjum balsam ,vanilla co2, and sweet castoreum from fresh sacs !!!
