Oud & Rose is the most treasured combination. There is something appealing, even forbidden, about it that has always enchanted me. Over the years, I have tried countless variations, each different in its own way. My love for it is as alive today as it was decades ago.

To begin with the vintage Bulgarian Rose contributes notes that are almost like lychee, while the Damascena of Jebel Akhdar Mountains adds a slight tint of citrus. The roses combine well with Kalakassi oud, which is recognized for its incense-like feel and slight smokiness.While listening to an old classic by Rafi Saab, entranced and top of it uplifted by the Kalakassi Al Ward into a near trance-like state, giving me goosebumps.

Already reaching that hay and soft, plush leather in the heart was ambitious because the use of alcohol as a carrier dilutes the experience. I countered this with aggressively increasing the concentration of oud in order to keep the integrity as an oil experience. The final blend ensures that Kalakassi appears throughout the whole olfactory experience.

This journey was complicated. Kalakassi Al Ward was perhaps my toughest challenge, yet is undeniably one of my most outstanding creations. The blend assures keeping you warm through the coldest of winters-a powerhouse combination of pure Hindi Oud and Rose.
